Prof Richard Sullivan and Prof Bettina Müller

Prof Richard Sullivan (Kings College London, London, UK) speaks to Prof Bettina Müller (Instituto Nacional del Cáncer, Santiago, Chile) about her paper 'Social Distancing and Economic Crisis During COVID-19 Pandemic Reduced Cancer Control in Latin America and Will Result in Increased Late-Stage Diagnoses and Expense'.

They start by discussing Prof Müller's work leading up to the paper, the main conclusions from it and the current situation in Chile and across South America.

Prof Müller concludes by referring to one of the last lines in the paper, which reads "The coronavirus pandemic provides an opportunity for the society to act in solidarity" especially as the pandemic stretches into the future.
