Ashleigh Neptial speaks to ecancer at London Global Cancer Week 2025 about how cancer misinformation can impact historically marginalised communities.

She explains that communities have huge mistrust in the system due to incidences such as the Tuskegee Syphilis Study and the legacy of Henrietta Lacks. This has lead to the community choosing to engage with holistic remedies and religion rather than medicine.
